Whether you’re a lifelong resident, an annual visitor, or perhaps visiting Isle of Palms for the first time this summer, there are quite a few “Tips and Tricks” that not everyone is necessarily aware of! Isle of Palms hosts an ever-growing and bustling summer season of beachgoers, boaters, and history buffs and has increased its efficiency measures to accommodate that influx of visitors and to increase everyone’s summer enjoyment and satisfaction! Did you know? The Beach Reach is back! On hectic weekends, parking on Isle of Palms within proximity to public beach access locations can become a challenge. Therefore, the city has instituted a FREE parking and shuttle service that will transport beachgoers from Mount Pleasant Towne Center (Stop #715 near Belk’s) to steps from the sand. This shuttle ties into the CARTA system and the Beach Reach stop is located at 14th Ave. and the Ocean Blvd. Beach Access Path. |

Service notes: - The Beach Reach runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, September 2nd, 2024. (Weekends) - Additional Days: July 4th, 5th, and September 2nd. - Shuttle times: - Shuttle departs about every hour on Saturdays, beginning at 9:15am. Last trip from the beach at 5:30pm. - Shuttle departs about every hour on Sundays, beginning at 9:40am. Last trip from the beach at 5:55pm. Also- “There’s an app for that!” Download the Carta app! - No Oversized items on the bus - no oversized tents, surf boards, or massive beach umbrellas. |

Did you know? Isle of Palms has a Public Dock! - Located at the Isle of Palms Marina (50 41st Avenue) - Free to launch a kayak, canoe, paddle board (just no swimming, for your own safety!) - Fish or Set Crab Traps - Read, relax, watch dolphins, enjoy the sunset! Parking is free for residents with City issued parking permits! Open from sunrise to sunset! |

Did you know? The Isle of Palms Marina is a full-service marina that houses 50 boat slips and a double-wide public boat ramp! If boating makes up any part of your vacation plans while in Isle of Palms, you will be more than pleased with the convenience, technology, and “creature comforts” of the Isle of Palms marina! |

In addition to the convenient location on the Intracoastal waterway, arriving at the marina is easy from the beginning, with free parking, boat rental services, and even ice available to top off your cooler! Gas is also available prior to launch from the boat ramp. The technology of the Marina includes, but is certainly not limited to an app for scheduling launches and retrievals, wireless internet for staying connected, and even the ability to order food and other necessities from the Outpost on site. Everything from a Philly Cheesesteak to a Cappuccino is fresh and ready to order!As your day on the water draws to a close, enjoy a gorgeous sunset view and schedule your pump out, bottom cleaning, and any needed maintenance with the marina. Before departing for your vacation rental property, enjoy one last beverage from the Outpost. The well-lit docks, cable tv, free wireless internet, and private restrooms and showers for boaters are available for an easy transition back home! |

Did you know? Isle of Palms hosts a Farmer’s Market! - Every third Thursday of the summer from June - October from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. At 24 28th Ave. Parking available on site! - In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, plants, baked goods, and crafts will be available for purchase. FREE face painting! |

Did you know? The 4th of July Fireworks will be hosted by the city in the Front Beach area, starting at 9:00 pm. The area of the beach between 21st Ave. to 3rd Sea Cabins will close at 6:30 pm in preparation of the Fireworks Display. As a friendly reminder, fireworks are not permitted in the city of Isle of Palms! |
